I'm so not into the chocolate candy of any sort. I'm fine with cards kisses, and hugs oh and flowers. Ch has a hard time getting me something that I will enjoy. Cd's are a great gift, idea or an ipod.

What you guys really need, to even it all out, is a broader awareness of Steak and BJ day on March 14th.
Why not just call it for what it is: Roses, Hallmark and Gertrude day ....
There are 5 different ways people express or 'communicate' that they love another. Each person considers the expression that they use to be the expression that they need.
One of those is giving gifts.
I think valentines day is more about finding that one 'communication type' that your partner needs and using it as your expression of love for that day. It certainly is difficult to use someone else's expression of love 365 days a year, which is why I think valentines day is a perfect day for it. ... if any of this makes sense. LoL.
Ohhh like men don't like getting their little gifts...LOL

I really dislike the forced romance of valentine's day. I prefer not to get gifts.
